  • SLD Advisory Council

    The SLD Advisory Council consists of 18-20 members from across the state who are leaders in the implementation of revised SLD criteria and the provision of services for students with SLD. They are charged with the determination of the need for and the development of specific guidance documents. They provide a conduit within regions, IHEs, etc. as to the issues that are arising with the implementation of the SLD eligibility criteria/identification system and the provision of specialized instruction. the Council also provides input as to specific professional development that is needed in the field.

  • Colorado School Mental Health Advisory Council Meeting
    Friday, May 15, 2015
    1:00 PM - 3:30 PM

    These meetings provide a forum for dissemination of information on CDE programs and initiatives along with new legislation for district leaders to take back to their districts. Topics include Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, Educator Effectiveness, assessment and special education eligibility, the READ Act, alternatives to suspension and expulsion, Bullying Prevention for students with disabilities, state standards, Evidence-based practices with a focus on improving outcomes for students with disabilities, and other topics relevant to the fields of school psychology and school social work.
