Our services are customized based on the individual needs of schools and districts. We start with an assessment of needs and design services accordingly.
How will we evaluate our services and support to schools and districts and its effectiveness in school/ district/ student achievement?
We provide suggested implementation benchmarks (to support evaluation of the implementation). We collect evaluation data from participants in professional development. We offer assistance analyzing student achievement data.

Under 500 Students:
We provided a series of six 1/2 day professional development sessions for about 20 teachers on implementing formative assessment practices. Between these sessions participants were given specific practices to try in their classrooms and to then bring back to the group at the next session. The practices introduced included: clarifying learning targets wiht students, providing formative feedback, engaging students in self- and peer- assessment, supporting student monitoring of their learning progress over time, supporting student goal setting, and standards-based grading.
We worked with a group of teachers from an elementary school over an entire school year. This included providing several professional development days for the entire staff and then working more intensively with a smaller group of teachers (who volunteered to be early implementers) through out the year in shore after school sessions to introduce new topics and through on-site coaching approximately 12 days during the school year. The focus was formative assessment practices including the following: clarifying learning targets wiht students, providing formative feedback, engaging students in self- and peer- assessment, supporting student monitoring of their learning progress over time, and supporting student goal setting.
We provided two half-day sessions for all of the principals in this large school districts focused on unified improvement planning. During the first half-day session, principals brought their priority performance challenges to the session and the focus was working through a process for identifying root causes of these performance challenges. Principals left with a plan for how they were going to do additional root cause analysis with their school-level leadership teams. The second 1/2 day session started with principals bringing back the results of their root causes analysis and receiving formative feedback from one another. The remainder of that session involved working with the principals to develop a plan for how they were going to work with local leadershpi teams to develop major improvement strategies and aligned action step to respond to the root causes of their performance challenges.
