Diagnostic Reviews: $12,500 - $16,500 (depending of size of school, number of days needed on site, etc.)

UIP update facilitation: This service is customized based on the needs of the school and typically takes 1-3 days. Average costs are $4000-$7000.

Schools more than 40 miles from Denver may pay an additional mileage or day rate. Since we are local in Colorado, we do not add in the cost of airfare that other organizations may need to include in their pricing.

Districts pay the required PERA employer contribution on PERA retirees which is not included in the team fees.

The mission of Colorado Education Consulting Services to provide thorough, accurate, actionable, respectful, and customized information and support to each school.

Evidence-based: Diagnostic review reports are based on three sources of information: (1) the school portfolio, (2) interviews, and (3) classroom observations. Reports are grounded in the Colorado Standards and Indicators for School Improvement.

Colorado Education Consulting Services develops all arrangements for the diagnostic review in collaboration with the school.

We guarantee complete confidentiality to each person and group interviewed.

At the end of the onsite visit we provide a preliminary summary of our findings to the school administrators.

An additional service we provide is a dynamic, highly interactive facilitation of the final review with the entire staff. This has proven to be a major benefit to schools as it enables staff members to read and dialogue about the contents of the report in a safe environment in a way that builds a foundation for follow-up planning. In addition, administrators are not only saved the trouble of planning and conducting this process, but they may also participate, listen to staff, and begin to consider potential next steps.

UIP update facilitation is also available. The goal is to utilize a customized approach to help develop and updated UIP which meets or exceeds all CDE quality criteria for a UIP.

How will we evaluate our services and support to schools and districts and its effectiveness in school/ district/ student achievement?

Diagnostic Reviews:
All arrangements and logistics for the review are done in consultation with the school/district leadership to maximize communication and minimize uncertainty before, during, and after the review.

Feedback is requested from administration during and at the end of the on-site visit.

Staff is asked for verbal and written feedback following the orientation, during the visit, and at the end of the facilitated staff debriefing of the report.

Follow-up feedback on content and process is requested following the school's incorporation of information from the report in its revision of the UIP.

Consulting / Training
A variety of data are used to help determine effectiveness, including student achievement (diagnostic, formative, benchmark, summative), school process data, demographic data, and perception data. For example:

-Feedback and suggestions are sought on an ongoing basis, e.g., at the end of presentations, periodically during the year when working with leadership teams

-When consultation or training has been incorporated into a UIP, (at least) quarterly reviews of progress, challenges, and next steps are conducted.

-When appropriate, schools and teams develop, with guidance, an implementation calendar and/or innovation configuration map to assess and self-assess progress.

-When appropriate, individuals and teams are asked to review progress based on a variety of change models.

-Staff members (and/or students, if appropriate) may be asked to take brief surveys to help provide additional insight.

-Leadership teams are frequently invited to participate in school-wide Learning walks in order to evaluate progress and school-wide practices for themselves.

-The consultant meets regularly with school administrators to plan, reflect, and revise.

-The results of student work and assessments are reviewed as they pertain to the training/consulting under way.

-The consultant may meet with grade level teams, departments, and district support personnel.
