I am a single owner of Positive School Solutions, LLC. I serve as a lead for the Comprehensive Appraisal for District Improvement and School Support Teams sponsored by CDE. In addition, I provide leadership consultation with school and district leadership. I also conduct program evaluations for schools and non-profit organizations. The teams I lead are made up of other independent contractors.

I have experience working in large, medium and small school districts and most of that is experiences is related to serving high need populations. For a typical elementary school the focus will be on delivery of instruction, curriculum, and support systems. For medium and large districts the focus will be on leadership, systems, and culture. When leading SST and CADI reviews, team members are selected based upon expertise and experience that matches the needs of the client schools and districts.
How will we evaluate our services and support to schools and districts and its effectiveness in school/ district/ student achievement?
In the CADI and SST processes, school or district unified plans are developed with my assistance. During the implementation support phase of the process, progress on implementation and student achievement data are used to evaluate the success of school and district improvement efforts.

Under 500 Students:
For a school with under 500 students, I will typically work with the principal to articulate a precise and measurable Unified Improvement Plan. In addition, I provide the principal with contact information of schools or districts that have implemented effective practices. Further, I challenge the leadership team of the school to stay on track with their improvement plan. This includes criticizing instances where the school is backing off from challenges. Also, I collect data on plan implementation and assist the school with data reviews.
For small school districts with less than 1000 students or somewhat more, I work closely with the superintendents and the district leadership team. This includes leading the CADI process, providing guidance on developing UIPs, and sharing information with the district leadership team related to systems changes, organizational structures, and research based practices. In addition, I monitor implementation of UIPs and critique district efforts.
For districts over about 1500 students more emphasis on organizational systems, leadership and communication. These systems include alignment of curriculum, organizational alignment, accountability systems, and internal evaluation of various components within the district.
