Explanation of how we are able to provide differentiated services to meet the individual needs of schools and districts.

District leaders are asked to provide information regarding the characteristics and needs of the English learners in their district, to describe current initiatives and past professional development experiences, and to select a focus on either ELL specialists or content teachers. In some cases, teams of teachers have completed surveys to determine learning needs.

How will we evaluate our services and support to schools and districts and its effectiveness in school/ district/ student achievement?

Professional development relating to the WIDA Consortium's ELD Standards and accompanying assessments is evaluated with an online survey that evaluates the pre- and post-training knowledge and skill of each participant on each of the training standards and also provides detailed feedback on the facilitation skills of the presenter. Ongoing communication with school district leaders regarding impact on student achievement of English learners observed is always included in professional development projects. Impact is gauged based on school and district achievement report data derived from TCAP and CELApro/ACCESS for ELLs test results for English learners.
