Submit Your Application for Juvenile Diversion Funding

The Office of Adult and Juvenile Justice announced the availability of juvenile diversion funds to pilot four truancy pilot projects. The purpose of these pilots is to learn and document (1) the causal factors of truancy, (2) the effective prevention approaches that keep youth in school and on track academically and socially and increase school and student engagement and (3) the systems changes needed to successfully address truancy. This opportunity is available to community cross disciplinary collaboratives although an individual agency or organization will have to serve as the applicant agency.

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20. The Juvenile Diversion Program is beginning a new three year funding cycle, so successful applicants will then be eligible to apply for two additional years of funding. The entire grant processes will be paperless. A link to a Jan. 7 recorded webinar about how to apply through the online grant management system is available at http://dcj.state.co.us/oajja/Training_Workshops/Trainings.htm.
